The Government of Telangana announced the Telangana Electric Vehicle and Energy Storage Policy in 2020, with a vision to make Telangana, a preferred investment destination for the manufacturing of electric vehicles.
The policy aims to achieve the overarching objective to ensure a clean and healthy environment for its citizens by bringing down carbon emissions. In order to achieve this objective, the policy intends to reduce the total cost of mobility and increase the adoption of electric vehicles in public transportation, two & three wheelers, four wheelers, light commercial vehicles and shared transportation.
